Since 2010, accordionist and composer Hartwin Dhoore has been touring in his own audacious and idiosyncratic style, distilling influences from European traditions into his own compositions. These have been collected in his book “Out of the box,” which contains nearly a hundred of his melodies highlighting his versatility and creativity. From 2015-2021 he lived in Estonia, where he was inspired to create many of his latest compositions. With the help of two talented Estonians (Sofia-Liis Kose on violin and Carlos Liiv on guitar), Hartwin’s new album “Valge Valgus” paints the colourful and melancholic universe around him and presents Estonia through the eyes of a Belgian accordionist. He will perform the album with his blood brother Jeroen Geerinck on guitar and Naomi Vercauteren on violin.

Alaw – Welsh for melody – has been described as “a Welsh supergroup” by the leading folk magazine Songlines. It is composed of three leading musicians who share the same deep passion for the traditional music of Wales, one of the lesser known branches of Celtic folk music. Nia Lynn‘s exceptional voice and harmonium playing are a perfect complement to Oli Wilson-Dickson‘s catchy violin and Dylan Fowler‘s sparkling guitar. Whether they are unearthing a rare musical gem or reinterpreting a beloved melody, they always treat the music with a virtuosity and elegance in which they make the songs completely their own.
Add their own powerful songs and surprising compositions, and everything comes together to offer an unforgettable musical experience. From rousing songs to lively jigs, they bring so much humour and affection to their music that you will be truly enchanted.
